Mica Beneficiation and Processing Plant

In the world , 12 countries have large mica output, including: India, Russia, the United States, Canada, etc. And Canada is the world’s four major producers of mica, the total production accounts for about 70% of world production. U.S. and China mainly produce broken mica and flake mica, United States produced 104,000 pieces of mica in 1995.

Mica Beneficiation and Processing Plant

Industry mainly use natural mica crystals to process into the desired product. As defects of the crystal, there is no greater and higher its economic value. So the mica ore beneficiation process is to protect the natural mica crystals from destruction as much as possible.

We can separate mica and gangue by artificial hand sorting firstly. Then, we can select mica monomer which has been separated. According to different shapes of mica crystal and the gangue, they adopt screen’s ability not to be dissimilar. So the mica and gangue can be separated. In this process, Vibrating Screen is main mica beneficiation machine. Shape processing method has a simple process, less equipment, high production rateand good separation efficiency, so this method has been widely applied in the mica mines.

Based on different surface physical and chemical properties of mica and gangue, we can separate them. After crushing, grinding process, the mica monomer dissociated. Functioned by chemicals, mica turned to foam product then separate from gangue. Mica flotation can be in acidic or alkaline slurry. Mica flotation through primary crushing ,secondary crushing and tertiary crushing, can obtain mica concentrate.
